Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at citeddigital.com and the services provided by Cited Digital LLC ("Cited Digital," "we," "us," or "our"), a Kentucky limited liability company based in Murray, Kentucky. By using our site, submitting a form, running our free AEO scoring tool, or engaging us for paid work, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.

Cited Digital is an AI training and search optimization company serving western Kentucky, Middle Tennessee, and southern Illinois, with services delivered in person by the founders. Our services include:

• AI training: workshops, on-site sessions, and speaking for teams adopting AI tools
• Managed search optimization: Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) to improve how your business appears in AI-powered answer tools, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for organic search visibility, and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) for generative search experiences
• AI consulting: guidance on adopting AI tools, workflows, and strategy for your organization
• Custom AI builds: tailored tools and integrations built to a project scope
• Web development: available on request

The specific scope, deliverables, timeline, and price for any paid engagement are defined in a separate proposal, statement of work, or order confirmation. Where those documents conflict with these Terms, the signed proposal or statement of work controls for that engagement.

This is important, so please read it carefully. AEO, GEO, and SEO involve third-party platforms we do not control, including (but not limited to) Google, ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Bing, and other search and AI tools. These platforms change their ranking systems, models, and answer behavior frequently and without notice.

Because of this, we cannot and do not guarantee any specific ranking, placement, citation, mention, traffic level, lead volume, or revenue outcome. Anyone who guarantees a #1 ranking or a permanent spot in an AI answer is not being straight with you. We commit to applying sound, current best practices and doing honest work. We do not commit to a particular result on a platform we do not own.

Any scores, projections, benchmarks, or example outcomes we share (including results from our free AEO scoring tool) are estimates for informational purposes and are not promises of future performance.

Our AEO scoring tool generates an automated assessment of how a website appears to AI answer engines. It is provided free and "as is" for general guidance. The score relies on automated checks and third-party data that may be incomplete or out of date, and it should not be treated as a professional audit, a guarantee, or advice specific to your situation. We may store the results to improve the tool and to follow up if you ask us to.

To do good work for you, we rely on you to:

• Provide accurate information about your business and timely access to any accounts, content, or systems the work requires
• Hold the rights to any content, logos, images, or materials you give us to publish or optimize
• Review and approve deliverables within the timelines we agree to
• Make sure your use of our work, and your business itself, complies with applicable laws and platform rules

Delays in access, approvals, or information may affect timelines and are not our responsibility.

Fees, billing schedule, and payment terms for any paid engagement are set out in your proposal, statement of work, or order confirmation. Online payments are processed securely through Stripe; we do not store your full card details. By submitting payment you authorize the charge for the service described at checkout.

One-time tools, reports, and scans are generally non-refundable once delivered, because the work is performed at the time of purchase. For ongoing or project work, refund and cancellation terms are governed by your specific agreement. If something is not right, contact us and we will work with you in good faith to make it right.

The content on this site, including our text, branding, logos, tools, and the design of our pages, belongs to Cited Digital and is protected by applicable law. You may not copy, republish, or resell it without our written permission.

For paid engagements, ownership of the deliverables we create for you is addressed in your agreement. Unless that agreement says otherwise, you own the final deliverables once payment is complete, and we retain the right to our own underlying methods, templates, and know-how, and the right to describe the work in our portfolio in general terms.

You agree not to:

• Use the site or our tools for any unlawful purpose or to violate any platform's terms
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape at scale, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems
• Submit false information or impersonate another person or business
• Reverse engineer or misuse our tools to build a competing service

Our work involves and our site may link to third-party platforms and services we do not control, such as search engines, AI tools, analytics providers, and payment processors. We are not responsible for their content, availability, policies, or actions, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

Our website, the free AEO scoring tool, and any informational content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Paid services are performed in a professional and workmanlike manner, but, as noted above, we do not warrant any particular ranking or business result.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Cited Digital and its members will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data, arising out of or related to your use of the site or our services. Our total liability for any claim relating to a paid engagement will not exceed the amount you paid us for that engagement in the three months before the claim arose. For free use of the site or tools, our total liability will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cited Digital and its members from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of content or materials you provide to us, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right in connection with your business.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in or serving Calloway County, Kentucky, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Material changes take effect when posted, and your continued use of the site or our services after that means you accept the updated Terms.
